Texas Holdem Rules

Texas Holdem is one of the many forms of poker played today on Full Tilt and is the most popular. The game can be played with two to ten players and uses a fifty-two card deck without any jokers or wild cards being used. If you’ve never player Texas Holdem before don’t worry too much because the rules are really simple and it doesn’t take long to learn how to play. What does take awhile is trying to become a consistent profitable player, but we’ll worry about that down the road and worry about learning how to play Holdem for now.

If the game is just starting the dealer button begins with the player to the left of the dealer. The dealer sits in a stationary position and all the players in the game sit around the dealer. The dealer button is used to keep track of whose deal it is because it reflects who need to put in the two forced bets before the hand starts. The two players sitting to the left of the dealer button need to put in what’s known as the small blind and big blind. These blinds are forced bets which ensure there is action in every single pot.

Once the Full Tilt blinds have been put into the pot the dealer will deal every player two face down cards. Starting with the player to the left of the big blind players will need to decide whether they want to call the big blind, raise the big blind or fold there cards. After everyone has decided what to do the dealer with place out the first three community cards known as the flop. There is another round of betting after the flop is shown and then there is a fourth community card shown known as the turn. Players who remain in the pot will bet again after the turn and then the dealer will reveal the last community card known as the river.

The players left in the poker en ligne pot after the river are allowed to take place in one more round of betting and then if there is still more then two players left in the pot the hand goes down to the showdown. The showdown is simply the players left in the pot revealing there hands to see who has the best five card poker hand. You can use any of your two cards or the five community cards in order to make the best five card poker hand.

There are several other small rules you need to keep in mind when you’re playing in at FullTilt, such as not mucking your cards. If you muck your cards then they are completely out of the given hand even if you find out you would have won the Party Poker pot so never fold your cards. You also need to show both your cards when you win the pot and not just one card even if you’re only using one card. If you fold the second card then your hand is mucked and you automatically lose the hand.
